AgileTracker V1

If you visit the download page, there's now an option to download the AgileTracker.  Along with that release, we've also put up a new account management page that lets you view and share your schedules that have been stored to the AgileAgenda.com service.

The tracker isn't perfectly integrated yet, so to get it working, here's some instructions on how to share a schedule so an employee (or contractor, or whatever) can work on it.

This is our first release of the AgileTracker and we're very interested in hearing feedback.  Feel free to either comment here or email beta@agileagenda.com.

With the AgileTracker and account management in place, we can work on some enhanced functionality such as:
  • Full management of schedules online.
  • Reporting time back from the AgileTracker to the main AgileAgenda application (right now the tracker doesn't send any info back.)
But those features are for after our 1.0 release which is finally coming this month.

AgileTracker is neat, a great complement to AA. Been testing it today and the basics are fine. A few missing features/quirks I've noticed while testing it today:

* Ability to record back time and completion state to AgileAgenda.com would be really useful.

* Better rendering of short duration tasks. The labels either disappear on the white background or overlay on other tasks if you work on something for less than 30 mins or so.

* Quicker task switching: currently have to click the Project button, change project from Local Project to the one I'm working on, find task, click icon.

* Clicking Close stops the clock as well, would be nice to be able to interact with the tracker while still having a clock running.

* When in Clock mode the app appears with a blank label in the task bar and an icon that does nothing in the tray. The tray icon is a nice idea if you can get it working.

The synchronisation seems to work smoothly.

Thanks for your great work on this software. We've bought a couple of licenses already and are liking what we're seeing.

Cheers,
Charlie

Hi Charlie, glad you like it!

Your first point is high on the list to get working. Getting a full two-way data exchange will really make the whole thing a lot more useful.

And thanks for the other comments, they all sound like good ideas.
